Here is a storyboard I have done over the weekend, it's not really the best as it took a lot of brainstorming and notes to come up with ideas for the second half of the story. Anyway, this storyboard shows a group of friends walking around town, talking about the experiment they just volunteered. At first they noticed their home town looking the same as usual, only to stop when they see several big shopping malls. The idea of shopping malls were inspired by my trip to the Philippines, where I noticed many large shopping malls and in Manilla, many of whom were larger than the ones in Nassau county. Connecting this to my food drawing and the alternate universe, what's to say that teens like the main characters wouldn't want to explore a large shopping mall they've never seen before.

In addition to that, the mall could also connect to the folklore Hansel and Gretel, where the kids come across a house made of candy, only to be lured into a trap by a witch.
