My third official piece for my series of artwork involving angst. The girl, "Joy" is in despair and the stars could mean anything. Whether it's the kind of happiness she missed out on or how happiness comes from pain.
Another drawing that represents the concept of a "glimmer of hope", which comes in the form of a tiny bunny resting on top of Joy's head. Of course, I could've used a butterfly for this since they tend to represent a "metamorphosis" but I chose a bunny cause they equal "cuteness" and the girl is shown to cherish the little things no matter how rough life can be. Even at her lowest point, a small bunny is enough to make her smile.
Not sure where to come from this, but, both drawings feature the idea of hope when one is at their lowest point, with stars and cute animals giving the girl a glimmer of hope when one is feeling down.
